Forums are intermittent

Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. Then you get database errors. Reported to server admins.

Database errors again this morning. I’ve emailed support.

THoght it was site back-ups, but thye’ve been down for over an hour so far….

I’ve e-mailed tech support, and hopefully they’ll be back up soon.

Forums down again.

Similar time to last week. Maybe back-ups or something? Anyway, I’ve sent an e-mail to tech support.

I’ve just submitted a ticket. Hopefully they’ll get the forums up and running, soon.

6/16/09 Main Site and Forums down

As of 6am EST the main site and forums are down with a Database error.
We are working on this.

UPDATE (9:15 am EST): The site is now back up!

I’m not sure what the problem is, but I can’t connect, and http://www.downforeveryoneorjustme.com/forums.civfanatics.com tells me its not just me!

I’ve contacted the hosts, and hopefully they’ll have the problem rectified soon.

Edit:  19:26 and its back on-line!

Whoops! Forums are down!

Forums are down at the moment (22:26 New York time, 14:26,  New Zealand time).

We’re working on getting it fixed…..

Forum Upgrade Tonight at 10 PM ET

We will perform a forum upgrade tonight at 10 PM ET. The process is expected to take 3 to 4 hours. During the upgrade process, the main site and forum will not be available. We will be posting site status updates here.

9:55 PM: Forum turned off

10:03 PM: Database backup complete

10:30 PM: Forum software upgrade is done. Now I just need to take care of templates that need to be updated.
